INFRASTRUCTURE

Given the complex CG environment, technology is critical to Crest's operations. The success that Crest has enjoyed over the past decade is largely due to its innovative solutions to minimize bottlenecks and improve productivity, in them groundbreaking concepts in animation.

Crest utilizes programs equivalent to those used at industry standard-bearers. These proprietary in-house developed programs include:

Render-Pro
Proprietary Render Management Software, Render-Pro. Which enables firing of renders both manually and automatically, Sequencing and Prioritizing of renders, Monitors and Records all transactions, and adheres to deadlines by ejecting scenes which takes more than allocated time for completion.

HRMIS
A proprietary Human Resource Management Information System that maps the tasks performed by individual artists on Quality - Time and Cost parameters.

RusHour, Asset Management
Crest has developed proprietary online project tracking software which help track entire projects online.

R&D
Crest’s specialized R&D team has achieved breakthroughs in animation technology for Hair, Fluid Systems and Landscapes.

FCP / RCP
Crest introduced the Rough Compositing method of filtering the shots before it reached composting from rendering, especially relevant to TV and DVD production.

Storages
Crest's storage server – with an aggregate throughput of 1.5GBps – is the "Worlds Largest Polyserve based EFS Cluster of HP" and the performance of the storage server can be increased across the years of expansion.
 
NonBlocking Network Architecture
Crest’s central technological nervous system is a Giga Network. We were the first to implement Foundry-based 10Gig in the country during the initial launch of 10Gig in the global market.
